Darshan Raval's Valentine's Day offering 'Piya Re' has just released

Popular singer Darshan Raval has returned with another romantic track, just in time for Valentine's Day 2023. 'Piya Re' is his eighth consecutive Valentine's Day track. It's become an annual ritual for Darshan and his fans to look forward to a soothing and lilting romantic song to usher in the season of love. Piya Re, that released on February 9th on Indie Music label's official Youtube channel, has been sung and composed by Raval while it's beautiful lyrics are penned by Gurpreet Saini and Gautam G Sharma. The singer got into a chat with mid-day.com about all things romantic.

When you are having a rough day, what is it that instantly cheers you up?

I just sleep and get over it. When you think too much it takes you to place where you don't need to be. When you get proper sleep you can think right!

Any couple that you look up to?

So many people in my family, including my brothers who have been with their partners for years, that is beautiful. It's wonderful to see their bond evolve over 15-20 years and how they become partners in the true sense.

Any message for your fans who are single and looking for love?

Jaldbaazi mat karna, wait karna aaram se (don't rush, be patient.) At times the urge of falling in love is so much because you have been single for long but take your time. The journey of falling in love is beautiful, always enjoy the journey. 

Any recent film or drama where the romance stayed with you?

I'm not watching anything much because I'm travelling but I saw 'Pathaan' yesterday. Right now the most romantic thing is my fans meeting me and singing at my concerts. They hug me and give me love letters. You have no idea how many letters I have got, I will read all of them once I find time.

Your idea of a perfect date?

Sitting on top of a mountain and listening to 'Piya Re.' We would eat maggi and the Blue colour Lays chips because those are easily availaible. Watching the sunset together would be nice.
