Often termed as the original 'Khallas' girl, Isha Koppikar is one happy lady these days. While two of her favourite festivals Diwali and Dhanteras are just around the corner, her film 'Love You Loktantra' had got released with her performance being appreciated by many. Mid-Day Online caught up with Isha Koppikar for an exclusive interview on the occasion of Diwali and Dhanteras. Read on to find out about her plans to celebrate the festival.

Isha, heartiest wishes for Diwali 2022. What is your Diwali story (plans) for this year?
I am excited about celebrating Diwali with all my dear and dear ones this year. I love dressing up in traditional Indian outfits. I love the overall energy of the festival. I also have plans to visit friends's houses for puja and decorate my house as well.
One of the most exciting things about Diwali are the lovely gifts. Do you believe in gifting or getting gifts during Diwali Festival?
Of course yes! It's the smallest gestures that make up a festival. Diwali has been forever known for gifts and gifting. I love receiving and sending out gifts as well.

Do you burst firecrackers during the festival?
Not really.
Do you believe in sound and smoke pollution-free Diwali?
I refrain from harming the environment. I do feel strongly about having a sound and smoke free Diwali not just this year, but every year.
What does Diwali / Deepawali mean to you?
Diwali, to me, is a symbol of love and happiness. It means celebrating our culture and also the beliefs of our nation. I also love how Diwali brings all walks of people under one roof and spreads immense positivity.
What new and exciting stuff have you planned for ‘Deepavali 2022’?
My celebrations have already start from the 19th of October, as it's also my mother's birthday. Then, it extends upto Diwali. Diwali is always very exciting for me. It lights a different kind of fervor in me each year.
What is your message to our readers for Diwali and Dhanteras?
I would like to wish all a very Happy and Wonderful Diwali and a prosperous Dhanteras. May all prayers come true and let everyone be blessed with multitude.
