Sia and Diljit Dosanjh

Punjabi pop star Diljit Dosanjh has collaborated with Australian singer Sia for his new single, Hass hass. The singer confirmed reports of their project, which will release today. Taking to social media, he responded to a fan page for Sia and wrote: “Sia lovers, I am one of you guys. We love Sia.” The Australian singer’s page shared artwork of the two giants. Prior to this, Dosanjh was seen recording with Sia in July. However, no details about a collaboration were shared then. After being the first ever Indian to sell out arenas with the highest ticket sales in Australia, Dosanjh now marks his biggest pairing with a pop artiste with this association with the Cheap thrills hitmaker. Not too long ago, the Punjabi singer’s name was linked with superstar Taylor Swift, as it was reported that the duo was seen flirting with one another.

The trailer for Paresh Rawal’s family drama-film, Shastry Virudh Shastry was recently released. It shows the actor in the role of a loving grandparent as he, along with his on-screen wife Neena Kulkarni, devotedly care for their seven-year-old grandson, whose parents work in the US. This
imagery is interrupted by unpleasant phases as the parents return to India to meet their son, but are unable to comprehend his needs as well as the grandparents do.

The actor, who shared pictures from the interaction on social media, stands in solidarity with Israel. She wrote: “The whole world, including Israel and India, is fighting a war against terrorism. Yesterday, I had the desire to visit the Israel Embassy and meet those people who are defeating today’s modern Ravana, and terrorists like Hamas. It is heart-wrenching to see how children and women are being attacked. I hope Israel will be victorious in this war against terrorism,” she wrote, adding that she “discussed my upcoming film Tejas with him”.

Ranbir Kapoor, who made headlines recently after his actor-wife Alia Bhatt revealed he doesn’t like her wearing lipstick, has addressed the criticism about him being an enabler of “toxic masculinity”. In the clips from Kapoor’s online interaction with his fans on social media, the actor said he is on the side of those fighting toxic masculinity, and doesn’t resent the fact that people want “to use me as the face of it”. “A lot of things are written about you as an actor; a lot of opinions are made, which are not necessarily true, and if you take it with a pinch of salt, because this image of mine that has been created by the movies, the characters I play, or by media is something that I don’t own,” he reportedly stated.

Shraddha Kapoor has gifted herself a new car—the Lamborghini Huracan Technica, on the occasion of Dussehra. She shared a video of the recent addition to her fleet on social media as she performed a puja at the ISKCON temple yesterday. Given that the vehicle is marked at R4 crore, her purchase evidently invited comments from social media users. “Sign me up for your new driver,” wrote one user, while others congratulated her on the purchase. Kapoor will next be seen in the horror comedy, Stree 2.

Filmmaker Karan Johar expressed his love and fondness for his superstar-friend Shah Rukh Khan, and shared that the latter was the first person who did not make him feel lesser due to his sexuality. In a podcast, Johar opened up on his childhood trauma, sexuality, and his confidant, Khan. “The first person that made me feel that I was okay, was Shah Rukh Khan. He has been [born] and brought up in a progressive environment, and has worked with all kinds of people. The feminine side that I had was coming out strongly, and was only met with laughter. When I grew older, people around me were quiet. SRK was the first man who didn’t make me feel lesser. He made me feel like an equal. He accepted what, in those days, would be considered being a pansy. He was just so cool about everything (sic),” he said.
