Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Cirkus' was released in theatres on December 23. The film directed by Rohit Shetty of 'Golmaal' fame was expected to end the year on a high note. Instead, the unanimous reviews for the film have been poor. Moreover, the film also failed to attract the audience to the theatre despite a star-studded cast.

'Cirkus' opened to a single-digit collection on day one in India with Rs. 6.25 crore. It failed to gain momentum despite it being the Christmas weekend.
