Sonam, a fashion icon, rocked in a subtle pistachio green sari, with heavy kundan jewellery. She tied her hair in a neat bun with 'gajra' in place. Akshay looked dashing in a black ensemble.
Her proud father actor-producer Anil Kapoor, dressed in a black bandhgala, accompanied her along with her mother Sunita.

President Pranab Mukherjee felicitated the winners at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and MoS Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore were also present.
'Dangal' star Zaira Wasim, who essayed the role of a young Geeta Phogat, won Best Supporting Actress Award.

Malayalam actor Surabhi Lakshmi named the best actress for her role in film Minnaminungu-The Firefly was also honoured. Malayalam star Mohanlal received a Special Jury award for Janatha Garage, Pulimurugan and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol.
