Bollywood celebrities, Sonam Kapoor, Kareena, Sonakshi Sinha and others celebrated motherhood by wishing a Happy Mother's Day to their social media followers with heartfelt posts.

A better tomorrow: Kareena Kapoor Khan provided a glimpse of her newborn in her Mother’s Day post. Bebo shared a monochrome snapshot of Taimur with his younger brother and wrote about the prevailing situation amid the deadly second wave of the pandemic. “Aaj umeed par duniya kaayam hai... and these two give me hope for a better tomorrow. Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful, strong mothers out there. Keep the faith,” she posted. Bebo and Saif Ali Khan have still not revealed baby number two’s name. Their bundle of joy completes three months on May 21.

House captain: Sonam K Ahuja calls mother Sunita “the captain of the Kapoor khandaan.” The actor is “far away” in London, which made her “miss mom even more.” Sonam added that her mommy dearest’s grace, warmth and love has helped her become compassionate and empathetic. “There’s not a single day that I wake up and not wish to be around you, mom,” she wrote.

Warm comfort: Sara Ali Khan posted a picture with mother Amrita Singh from their Kashmir holiday last month. She wished mommy on her special day by writing in rhyme. “Baby bear, momma bear. We together are the perfect pair. My love for her will never compare to any love or any care. And, therefore, today this hug I share,” Khan wrote on Instagram. Singh was left impressed and enveloped daughter dearest in some more warm hugs.

The fighting spirit: Kangana Ranaut posted a throwback photograph of mother Asha and recalled how she would be left teary-eyed by her mother’s constant phone calls after she “left home’’ to pursue acting. Her mom, who calls her Chotu, gave her “immense strength to fight and build my own destiny.”

Awesome Twosome: Priyanka Chopra Jonas wished mothers all around the world, “who boundlessly create, nurture and love... you are appreciated.” She termed motherhood “the beginning of all life.” The actor added that she’s blessed to look up to two incredible women, mother Madhu Chopra and mother-in-law Denise Miller Jonas, who lead by example every day. “Love you,” PeeCee wrote.

Guiding lights: Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared a snapshot with mother Sunanda and mother-in-law Usha Rani. “All I ever need from life is my mothers to guide me and my kids [Viaan and Samisha] to keep me going,” wrote the actor.
