The recently released teaser of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' gave us a glimpse into the world of the film. The film which has a father-son relationship at the core explores different facets of the relationship with a lot of drama and some intense violence. Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor play the father-son duo while Rashmika plays Ranbir's love interest. Bobby Deol plays a menacing antagonist in the film.
The reactions to the teaser have been extremely positive. Bobby Deol's silent appearance has especially garnered interest in his role. The actor recently opened up about the film at the Jagran Film Festival. "I was really lucky that I got to be a part of Animal, I have loved Sandeep’s work. He is the only director who has made the same film twice and succeeded both times. I want to do different characters and as I have said before, I want to break my image, get challenged and be very uncomfortable as an actor."

"When I did that shot, I didn’t even see the monitor. We were in a hurry to finish that moment. I saw the shot for the first time when I saw the teaser and I was like, ‘What? This is me!’ I am so glad about the response I have got for this one shot. It just shows that the audience wants to see me in something different. They want to know what I am doing in that shot– I can’t tell you that, but I am definitely eating something,” he said.
After the release of the teaser of Animal, there were speculations around Bobby playing a cannibal in the film. With his recent comment on the scene, fans feel like he is indeed hinting at his cannibal character. A video of Bobby speaking at the festival is doing the rounds on Reddit. "Bobby will eat up all the actors in this film, quite literally." Another user wrote, "Vanga got no chill and literally cooked someone".
‘Animal’ is an action thriller film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on August 11 but was pushed to December 1 due to pending post-production work. The film will be released in multiple languages.
