An actor par excellence who sailed through diverse roles with equal elan, be it the suave upper-class businessman, the cigar-smoking villain, or the saintly and pious Raja Janak, for Bijay Anand, acting comes effortlessly. Bijay Anand will soon be seen playing the role of Kiara Advani’s father in Karan Johar’s production ‘Shershaah’.

Playing a doting father to a daughter comes naturally to Bijay. He is a father to a cute little daughter in his real life, he played the role of Raja Janak to Sita in Siya Ke Ram and won accolades for his calm demeanor and acting for Karenjit Kaur where he plays father to Sunny Leone in her biopic.

Elaborating about his role and experience shooting for Shershaah, Bijay says, “I’ve shot with dozens of production houses my entire life but Dharma Production really knows how to pamper and take care of its actors.
It was a pleasure working for them”.

Directed by Vishnu Varadhan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who died in the Kargil War and was honoured with the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.
