Arora kicks off 14-day fitness workshop for masses amid fresh wave of Coronavirus
Malaika Arora caught the COVID-19 infection last year and emerged from it stronger after the quarantine, continuing yoga to build lung capacity
Extending help to the masses who find themselves braving another wave of the pandemic, actor-entrepreneur Malaika Arora kicked off a 14-day wellness challenge this week. Arora, founder of Diva yoga, is offering a variety of programmes via the application, Sarva. “It includes programmes for physical and mental wellness, aimed at nourishing the mind and body. One can log onto the app, click the link on my bio and enrol for the format that works for them. The 14-day weight loss programme includes recipes, diet tips, breathing exercises to improve lung capacity, and immunity-boosting ideas,” says the actor, adding that at the moment she is providing free classes for anyone who wishes to sign up. With hampered sleeping schedules being among the factors affecting people in the lockdown, Arora promises that her programme will also address rest.

Arora admits that she took to yoga when she needed “some sort of upliftment”. With several home-bound citizens searching for the same in the current scenario, she believes her offering will be helpful. “There wasn’t a day that I missed practising yoga during the lockdown last year. It is a necessity. You need not worry about stepping out to stay fit.”
