Aaliyah Kashyap is back in Mumbai after almost a year. Anurag Kashyap and Aarti Bajaj’s daughter, who is studying in the US, is on a month’s break. She posted a glimpse of the filmmaker — his first after he underwent angioplasty. It appears that the youngster took the aid of filters as he is seen with a unibrow, a shaved head and his thick glasses are missing. “I am so blind,” he says in the video Aaliyah uploaded.

Anurag, who had been working on the post-production of his next, Dobaaraa from home, decided to seek medical attention after he suffered mild chest pain. A source had revealed to mid-day, “Late last week, Anurag complained of discomfort and decided to get it checked at the earliest. Angiography revealed a few blockages in his heart. He was immediately admitted for surgery.” Kashyap underwent the procedure at an Andheri hospital and had been advised a couple of weeks' rest before he can resume work. On his plate is the sci-fi thriller, led by Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati. The director had wrapped up its shoot in late March. Looks like Aaliyah winged her way back home to be with daddy dearest. Though Kashyap is keeping off social media, he could not resist sharing a picture from the set of Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya (1998), which he wrote.
As for Aaliyah, she is a social media influencer, is said to be keen on acting. Recently, she shared a loved up photo with her boyfriend Shane Gregoire. Aaliyah has been open about her relationship with Gregoire, who is an American entrepreneur and consciousness researcher. He is known for founding Rocket Powered Sound, a software company specialising in sound design and music production skills development. Whenever the two are together, there’s lots of music around. Aaliyah has made her directorial debut in 2017 with a documentary on the education of girls for her school.
