The actor, who is going to make an appearance in Animal, left fans and even his daughter Sonam Kapoor in utter shock over the news, At first it looked like it was a promotional stunt for his upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor, News18 reported that this move had a Mr India 2 connection.

According to the source, “Anil Kapoor has gone ‘invisible’ on social media as a point to kick off Mr India 2. Like his character in Mr. India (1987), he is going invisible on social media,” When News18 Showsha contacted Boney Kapoor, who had indicated an interest in making a sequel to the Anil Kapoor and Sridevi-starrer earlier this year, the filmmaker stated that he has yet to check Anil's Instagram profile and will not comment on Mr. India 2 until everything falls into place.

‘Animal’ is an action thriller film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on August 11 but was pushed to December 1 due to pending post-production work. The film will be released in multiple languages.
