As actor Anupam Kher completed 40 years today in the industry, wishes have been pouring in but the special one from his close friend is finally here. Anil Kapoor penned a sweet congratulatory note for him.

Taking to Instagram stories, Anil re-shared Kher's post and wrote, "Congratulations on an incredible 40 years in the industry! Your journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From our earliest days together to the heights of your amazing career, I've been privileged to witness your unmatched talent, dedication, and heart. Your passion for your craft and the warmth you bring to everyone around you are truly special. Here's to celebrating your many achievements and I'm especially looking forward to your next directorial venture, Tanvi the great! I'm so proud of you, my friend."

Taking to his Instagram handle, Kher posted a video that features different scenes from his movies.
Recalling his journey in the industry, Kher wrote, "40 YEARS IN CINEMA AND STILL ROCKING: My first film #Saaransh released today on 25th May, 1984. My directorial film #TanviTheGreat is my 541st film. God, my producers, directors and my AUDIENCES have been kind and generous to me. I have celebrated my successes and failures with equal humility and gratitude!"
He has also appeared in many acclaimed international films such as the Golden Globe-nominated 'Bend It Like Beckham', Ang Lee's Golden Lion-winning 'Lust, Caution' and David O. Russell's Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook.
Kher added that his journey still continues and he is still full of enthusiasm and passion as he was 40 years back. Kher is also grateful to Mahesh Bhatt for giving him an opportunity to be part of 'Saaransh'. Kher played the lead role of BV Pradhan, a 65-year-old man in the film. It was released on May 25, 1984.
