Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are doing their bit to help fight the pandemic. They have donated 100 oxygen concentrators through the Daivik Foundation. Twinkle shared the news on social media. She posted, “Dr Drashnika Patel and Dr Govind Bankani of London Elite Health through Daivik Foundation are donating 120 oxygen concentrators. Akshay and I have managed to get our hands on 100 as well.”

She wrote that for the last few weeks with members of her family ill, she had “been in a bit of a hole,” but she couldn’t stay there for long. “I implore all of you, in your own way, to do whatever you can. So we can look back at this bleak moment and at least say it took the worst, but it brought out the best in all of us.”

Suniel Shetty is also providing a helping hand to reach out to the needy. He has collaborated with KVN Foundation’s Feed My City initiative to provide free oxygen concentrators in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Taking to Twitter, Shetty wrote, “We are going through some testing times, but a ray of hope in this is the way people have joined hands to help each other.” The actor also urged people to seek help. “This is an appeal to friends and fans. Contact me if you need help, if you know someone who needs help, or if you want to contribute and be a part of this mission. Reach out to help us help them,” added Shetty.

Actor Sonu Sood has also arranged for a 25-year-old critically ill Covid patient to be airlifted in an air-ambulance from Nagpur to Hyderabad for treatment.

Sonu was appointed brand ambassador of Punjab's Covid vaccination programme by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh earlier this month. Last year, during the lockdown, he helped thousands of migrants reach home safely. He also provided e-rickshaws to the unemployed.
