Adarsh Gourav: Actor must not decide which role is suited for him

It’s his lead role in The White Tiger that garnered Adarsh Gourav the kind of acclaim he has, today. However, the actor, who has played supporting acts in films like Leila and Rukh, isn’t one to consider a film only if it has him as the headlining act.

Gourav, who had none other than Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao lead by example in the film, says he isn’t afraid to be part of ventures that see him in supporting roles, should his character be intriguing.

“It is not an actor’s job to decide what role he should be picked for. Instead, it is the director who should see him in a role. The actor must only focus on acing the task at hand. The logic is simple, let creativity take its own path, and choose you,” says the BAFTA-nominated actor, who earned recognition for the globally acclaimed film.
