Different baal game
I am quite experimental with my hair, so I wasn't too scared to be the guinea pig at the hands of my stylist. The only brief that I gave her was to keep the length short and to give me a low-maintenance haircut. Truth be told, I was a little apprehensive when she told me that she was going to colour my hair. But I was more at peace when I came to know that she was using an ammonia-free colour.
Since my hair was fairly long when I got here, my stylist had quite a job to do. She's cut is really short and coloured the crown brown that is two shades lighter than my real hair colour. And then there's a blond streak in front that you can't miss. If you look close, you'll see a teeny-weeny tail at the bottom too.
Giving it his best sho(r)t
Even though I am fairly fashionable, I don't do anything that I'm not comfortable with. And yes, I do know my limits. For example, I am not the sort to get my eyebrows trimmed. But when it comes to hair, I don't mind trying new things.
Till recently, I was sporting a Mohawk and I've also gone bald in the past; quite an impulsive decision actually. We were playing in the West Indies where it was scorching hot, so I decided to get my hair shaved. It'd probably rank as the most drastic haircut I've ever got. But I'm not too vain, so I don't really get jittery about how the cut will turn out. Having said that, I do enjoy looking good and getting my share of compliments like any other guy.
Style check
I don't get myself stylish haircuts to get attention, on or off the field. I don't think anyone in the Indian team does that. Virat (Kohli) and Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) are probably the more stylish players in our side. They make the effort to look good. (VVS) Laxman and (Ashish) Nehra on the contrary couldn't be too bothered.
