When Alka Yagnik was recording Ghazab Ka Hai Din for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), Aamir Khan, then a debutant, was in the gallery listening in to them. On the show My Life My Story, Alka shared a rather funny anecdote, "I noticed this young guy sitting quietly.
Initially, I ignored him and carried on with my rehearsals, but when the recording started, I was uncomfortable. When you are singing and someone stares at you, it creates disturbance. So, I asked him to leave.
After we finished the recording, director Mansoor Khan made me meet the lead actor, and it was Aamir. Even now, whenever we meet, he keeps reminding me how I threw him out the room and we have a good laugh."
