Actor Boman Irani revelaed an interesting story of how his good friend actor Arshad Warsi had once accidently thrown a trishul at him during the former's debut play.

Boman said the duo were working in a play together nearly 25 years ago in which Arshad was choreographing and doing an item number.

"I had done my first play, some 25 years ago, where Arshad was a choreographer and I had a small role. Arshad had done an item song and my entry was immediatley after that. He used to move around and throw a "trishul", where his assistant used to catch it.

"But on that day, his assistant got busy flirting with another assistant. I stood in his place and then that trishul came and hit me. Rivers of blood started flowing... I never let Arshad forget that," Boman told reporters last evening.

The 56-year-old actor got his breakthrough role in 2003 with the highly acclaimed "Munnabhai MBBS" which also starred Arshad. Boman says he was encouraged to take up acting in films by the 48-year-old actor.

"Arshad told me Jaya (Bachjchan) ji had offered a role to him in 'Tere Mere Sapne' and he was so excited. He told me, 'Boman, come with me, you should also act in films'. I told him this was my first play, I won't be able to do it, I don't have enough confidence...

"He said 'promise me, we will do films someday and act together.' I think after 13-14 years, when I made my debut in Hindi commercial film 'Munnabhai MBBS', Arshad and I were together in the film," Boman said. The duo will be seen in the upcoming quirky comedy "The Legend of Michael Mishra".
