Shruti Hassan is a huge fan of Kishore Kumar. She tells CS, "I think he was the best singer-cum-performer in India. We will never have another Kishore Kumar. My favourite film is Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi."

She further says that music is an integral part of her life. “I find singing a very spiritual experience. The songs I listen to depend on my mood.
