It's time to change your fashion statement when people of your parents' generation start dressing like you!

Those who flu away

We've always known Karan Johar has a wicked sense of humour. Here's more proof...
His take on swine flu: "I wish there was an immunity could have built for all the swines who flu in and out of my life."
You think he means Soham Shah?

COVER UP

Swine flu scare has hit Bollywood too in a major way. The cast and crew of actor-turned-producer Sumeet Saigal's Rokkk was seen wearing masks all throughout except when the actors had to shoot their scenes. A source from the unit reveals, "Udita Goswami made sure that everyone in the unit had a mask. Normally on the first day of a shoot, everyone is kicked and happy but Rokkk saw a different atmosphere. Instead of enthusiasm the unit members were scared and worried."

Big view to TV

Neha Dhupia was taken by surprise by the response she received to her American television series Bollywood Hero. As reported ('Neha bites the Big Apple'; Hitlist, January 27), the actress attended the red carpet premiere of Independent Film Channel's three-part comedy series at the Rubin Museum of Arts in New York. She was accompanied by co-stars Chris Kattan and Pooja Kumar. Kattan is best known for being on Saturday Night Live. The TV series is set in Bollywood and has Neha play a character known more for her scandals than acting.

HOLDING ON

Fardeen Khan who is promoting his flick Life Partner says the swine flu is no deterrent to him. When we asked him if he would willingly step out in the crowds for promotional activities, donning a mask, he says, "Yes, but since masks are not available in the market, I guess I will now have to hold my breath!" Tee hee. He funnee!

NEW TUNE: Singer-actress Sharon Prabhakar is making a comeback (after her song in Armaan, many moons ago) in a crime thriller Murder in Bombay with the track, Chhooloon mein. She recorded the song at a Andheri studio. Music director Rahul Seth, director Yunus Patel, producer D S Pahwa were present

Au00a0NEW INDIA
When Shekhar Kapur was offered a chance to judge India's Got Talent, he felt it was an easy job. But he was proved wrong as he writes on a social networking site. "I thought it would be fun. Sit on a chair and just say whether you liked an act or not, and get paid for it. But I just could not stop myself from getting emotionally involved with the contestants.

I could not help responding to the humility with which they presented themselves. I found a new India out there, and the India that we in urban areas do not usually come in contact with. It is the India that seldom gets noticed. Through this show, I was reminded of my roots and where my true beliefs lie amidst the humility of my people, my country.
