Rajesh Khanna had acted in a TV show Apne Paraye eight years back. His co-actors in the show Vikas Bhalla and Munisha Khatwani reminisce about shooting with him

Vikas says, “I played Rajesh Khanna’s son in Apne Paraye. I had become quite close to him. We shot for more than six months together. I live in Bandra and he used to visit home many a times and since I am into singing we used to have musical sessions with me playing piano whole night.
He always used to request for the song Chingari Koi Bhadke from Amar Prem which co-incidently was my all-time favourite film. Rajesh Khanna was one of my favourite actors. Acting with him was like a blessing. He used to love mutton curry and always used to ask me to get that for him. Bollywood has lost a legend and there can never be another Rajesh Khanna.”
Munisha says, “I played his daughter in the show. He told me I remind him of his younger daughter Rinke so he started calling me Rinka off-screen and even told the producer to keep my character’s name Rinka as well. I used to call him Kaka uncle. Even when I used to meet him later at parties, he always used to acknowledge me.u00a0
