Indian DJ Varun Khullar, aka Aamish Underground, is set to join Dutch artiste Martin Garrix and American singer Jason Derulo at a Goa music festival on December 27. Khullar's introduction to the line-up is noteworthy, given that he hasn't permitted a spinal injury, which left him wheelchair-bound, from fulfilling his dreams.

He says, "I will present an hour-long deep-tech underground set at Time Out 72. I am excited about meeting Martin and Jason." Khullar, who is DJ at popular Delhi club Kitty Su, says that his journey to success hasn't been easy, especially after his mobility was impaired following an accident in Manali in 2014.

Quashing the perception of society being kind to the physically challenged, Khullar says finding acceptance has been difficult. "Also, accessibility to a music venue is troublesome, since most do not have facilities for the disabled." Khullar says he "found a way out", when he learnt the art of working with his disability on stage. "I carry my own mixer so that the DJ performing after me isn't inconvenienced."
