David Dhawan's Hook Ya Crook would've been Uday Chopra's first film outside his home banner.
The actor recently walked out of the John Abraham starrer (he would've played John's sidekick) and has been replaced by Shreyas Talpade.
The makers (UTV) have signed on Shreyas to play Uday's role in this comedy, which has the game of cricket playing a significant role in the script.
