Tiger Shroff admits being anxious about chopping off his locks for 'Baaghi 2'; makers tried seven styles before zeroing in on actor's final look

Tiger Shroff's lustrous curls seem to hinder the vision that the makers of Baaghi 2 have for their leading man. The actor, much to his dismay, has gone choppity-chop at the behest of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Ahmed Khan to get into his action avatar.

Buzz is, Shroff tried out seven iterations over three months before green-lighting his cut. The actor tells mid-day, "I was a little sad because I'm attached to my long hair and have had it for the major part of my life. But, as an actor, you change as per the demands of every role. I think it was apt [to get the cut] for my character. I have been getting appreciation for the new look and am thankful to Ahmed sir and Sajid sir for strapping me down to a chair as they chopped it off."

Khan admits that convincing the actor to let go of his long locks was challenging. "He loves his curls. Sajid and I bounced the idea off him. But, he responded with a: 'Whatever you feel is fine, sir.'"

Given that Shroff is particular about his appearance, the makers were certain to tread carefully while playing with his tresses. "We started chopping off his hair, bit by bit. Tiger would come to office every five days [to show us how it looked]. We cut his hair seven times, then thought that even if this style didn't suit him, we could get extensions. But, he kept looking better."
