Actress Taapsee Pannu, who hails from a non-filmy background, says there is no dearth of work for an outsider in film industry but the only problem is that they don't get a "second chance".

Actress Taapsee Pannu, who hails from a non-filmy background, says there is no dearth of work for an outsider in film industry but the only problem is that they don't get a "second chance".
"When your first film releases, the kind of offers that you get will be quite a lot because Industry is so big but how many of them are worth picking up and how many of them will get made is all that matters in shaping your career. There is no dearth of work," Taapsee told IANS.
"As an outsider there is no dearth of work but the only problem is you will not get a second chance if you go wrong. You have to keep proving yourself again and again," she added.
Tapsee is known for her roles in films like "Baby" and "Chashme Baddoor".
The actress, who will now be seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Pink", says she said yes to the film the minute she read the script.
"I didn't know that Amitabh Bachchan was part of this film initially. I said yes to the film the minute I read the script. It was such an engaging story. It feels great and I feel honoured that I was approached for this film. I can't say that this will be a turning point in my career but yes it's a step higher for me," she said.
"Pink" which puts a spotlight on crime against women in urban cities and will be releasing on September 16.
