Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria and actress Rani Mukerji launched a Mumbai traffic police initiative ‘Make Way for Ambulance’.

Under the three-month-long awareness drive, efforts will be taken to create a green corridor for ambulances carrying critical patients to the hospitals thereby saving crucial time.

On the occasion, Rakesh Maria said, “We would like to play an active role in saving a life. We need to educate citizens about the importance of the ‘golden hour’.
Let’s take a pledge to clear the way for an ambulance whenever we hear the siren so that the emergency vehicle reaches the hospital faster”.

Fresh from the success of Mardaani, Rani was optimistic that the initiative turns out to be a huge success and said “I hope the idea is replicated all over India. This initiative will make a huge difference in saving many lives”.
