Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra may have just completed five years in the industry but he has achieved stardom in a very short span of time with a huge youth fan following.
Despite having good run-rate at Bollywood, Sidharth has not forgotten his old days. He still remembers the first time how he spent his first paycheck.
Sidharth reveals that when he signed his debut movie 'Student of the Year', he had received Rs 1 lakh from Dharma Productions. He said, "I had not told my friends that I have signed a movie and that too under Dharma Productions banner. My friends and I had gone to Pune to meet another friend who stays there. One evening, when I told them about my debut film, they were shocked. They asked me to treat them and we ended up getting a bill of Rs 50, 000. I told them that half the salary of my first paycheck has already blown up."
He added, "Before signing my first film, I used to work as an assistant editor and used to get Rs 18,000 as salary but I never received such an amount when I was modelling. Spending such a big amount for my big break is definitely justified."
Sidharth said that all his friends are still very close to him.
He will be next seen in 'A Gentleman'.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, 'A Gentleman' is directed by directors Raj & D.K and is all set to release on August 25th, 2017.
