The makers had released a new poster ahead of the trailer launch. In the poster, a bear makes a surprise appearance as Bhumi and Ayushmann sit in front of the Taj Mahal. At the trailer launch event, Bhumi revealed that the bear has a significant part to play in the film.

The film, which is directed by Prasanna and produced by Aanand L. Rai, is a remake of Prasanna's Tamil release 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham'.
The story revolves around a really cool couple, who falls in love and decides to get married. But things start going wrong when the groom discovers that he suffers from erectile dysfunction.
'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' is set to hit the threatres on September 1.
