Preity, just back from the US, is clueless about the film's fate, "I've no idea what's happening to that film. I've finished work on it but have no time to follow up on its release. At the moment, my plate is really full for the year."

Helpless director

For Jahnu, though, it's not so easy to move on, as Harr Pal is it is his first Hindi film. The helpless director says, "The entire filmu00a0-- including Preity Zinta and Shiney Ahuja's dubbingu00a0-- is finished. But the producers are hesitant to release my film. After what happened with Shiney, they are cautious. But I think it will be released," Baruah trails off, the uncertainty evident.u00a0

Delayed work
Shiney will be the hardest hit. Harr Pal was his only complete project before he was incarcerated. His other project Accident has three days of shooting left which keeps getting postponed. The film's producer Pritish Nandy has been trying to get permission to shoot with Ahuja in Mumbai. But now, that seems unlikely. The actor can only hope to complete Accident and start Sudhir Mishra's film provided the courts allow him to.
