After wrapping up two schedules of Mumbai Saga over the past month, John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi are gearing up for the most crucial stint that kicks off tomorrow. The week-long schedule at Aamby Valley, Lonavala, will see filmmaker Sanjay Gupta give shape to what he believes will be the pièce de résistance of the gangster drama — the climax.

Having saved the best for the last, Gupta says that he spent weeks with his action directors Vikram More and Anbu Arivu to conceptualise a fitting face-off for the thriller that traces the shutdown of mills in Bombay in the '80s. "I have designed the final action sequence featuring John and Emraan. It's a high-octane scene that involves cargo trucks, fuel tankers and an airplane." That his love for hyper-stylised thrillers continues is evident as he enthuses, "We have also hired a private aircraft for the sequence. Mumbai Saga will probably be the first film to be shot at the airstrip at Aamby Valley. It's the most expensive sequence of the film."

While the multi-starrer features Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff and Amole Gupte, among others, the final set-piece sees Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover and Rohit Roy join the leading men in combat. "They have all been put up in the chalets there. I will drive up and down from my home in Khandala," informs Gupta.
