Preparations which were on in full swing at the Dutt household in anticipation of Sanju's visit home go in vain
Sanjay Dutt may not have been able to come home in time to participate in Rakhi celebrations, but preparations were on in full swing to make the jailed actor cherish his few moments of freedom.

So much so that Maanayata had even asked her household staff and security personnel not to take off on the special day because her hubby was coming home.
Insiders say the family was devastated after Sanju couldn’t make it back despite applying for a fortnight’s leave from jail. A source says, “Everyone was expecting Baba to be back. There are very strict security arrangements being made at his place. His sisters, Priya and Namrata were very excited at his impending arrival. However, it didn’t work out.”

The Dutt family apparently wasn’t sure till the very last minute if the court would grant Sanjay leave. In the confusion that ensued, Priya and Namrata were unable to leave Mumbai to visit their brother at the Yerwada Jail in Pune. An insider says, “Now they will have to courier their rakhis across for Sanjay.”
