Nothing has come the social worker's way even three years after Salman Khan pledged financial support to him personally and on a social networking site
With his film Jai Ho up for release, actor Salman Khan has been aggressively spreading the message of helping those in need. But it looks like the actor has forgotten a promise that he made in 2010.

It seems that during the release of Dabangg in the year 2010, Salman had pledged support to Desai. But more than three years down the line, Desai alleges that he is yet to receive any help from the actor.

“Everyday I travel from Churchgate to Goregaon and back in my bid to collect funds for the education of underprivileged children and kids in rural areas. When Salman Khan heard about me in 2010, he offered to help me,” recollects Desai, who taught at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research before turning to social work.

The actor, who was then promoting Dabangg, even put up a post on a social media site encouraging his fans to generously contribute to Desai’s cause. “I shall make sure that I will make one school every year till the time I am here so please don’t stress (sic),” said his tweet. But cut to 2014 and Desai is miffed with the way things have turned out. “I had hoped that Salman would stick to his word but after all these years, I haven’t received any help from him. I am disheartened by this turn of events,” said Desai.
When contacted, Salman’s spokesperson, while thanking us for reminding them of this issue, said that an official from Salman’s Being Human foundation will now contact Desai to look into the matter.
