Writer Sachin Bhowmick passed away yesterday. He was 82. Working for over five decades, Bhowmick was associated with films like An Evening In Paris (1967), Caravan (1971), Golmaal (1979), Karan Arjun (1995) and Krrish (2006). He worked with directors like J Om Prakash, Subhash Ghai, Rakesh Roshan and Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
Ghai, who had a long association with Bhowmick says, "It's a great personal loss. He was most interested in films, but never a filmy person. He was a legend in screenwriting since 1960. He led me from Karz (1980) to Yuvvraaj (2008) in over 10 films. He was a true gentleman all the way."
