Rani Mukerji recently shot a special national anthem video along with real-life lady police officers in order to promote her film, Mardaani. Now it has emerged that the actress’s niece Myiesha Mukerji too features in the video. A source says, “Rani plays a cop in the film and it was the creative team’s idea to make this video.

We were initially planning to feature only female cops and but since the film deals with human trafficking, we included young girls as well. This is when Rani suggested that we rope in Myiesha, her brother Raja Mukerji’s daughter, in the video.”

On her part, Myiesha was apparently very excited about this appearance and she even got her friends to be a part of the video. “Pradeep Sarkar, who has directed the film, has also helmed this video.

Myiesha was facing the camera for the first time but she was very confident and seemed to enjoy her stint. This video will be released soon and the anthem will played in theatres from this weekend onwards.” The film’s spokesperson confirmed the story.
