Raghu Dixit is not your typical Bollywood music composer, churning out one album after another with a cookie-cutter approach. Instead, he keeps his quest for fresh sounds alive by juggling film assignments, his band - the Raghu Dixit Project, and music tours.

After making his B-Town debut in 2011 with Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge and following it up with Bewakoofiyaan 2014, Dixit stayed away from Hindi films for three years until the Saif Ali Khan-starrer Chef came his way. "The music of Chef generated interest among the audience and producers. I-ve received three Bollywood offers ever since the film-s soundtrack released," says Dixit, who is also composing music for eight films down South.
Besides his film commitments, he is looking forward to his next album, which sees him collaborating with several international musicians. "It-s likely to have about eight tracks and we have finished working on the first one. Since I have travelled extensively, I have a lot of musician friends across the world. The idea behind the album is to work with friends," he smiles.
While music remains his first love, the composer also wants to explore other aspects of the film business. "I-m writing a script for a movie. It-ll most probably be in Kannada. I want to direct a movie."
