The actor, who was supposed to play a writer in the psychological thriller, posted the news on a social networking site. “Sad news to share...rum pum poshh, the film has been stalled due to financial complications,” said his post.
However, the actor added that he has taken things in his stride. “But I’m not going anywhere…more brilliant films coming your way real soon :) Keep that faith (sic),” he posted.
The actor’s last outing was the 2013 film Issaq, a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Romeo And Juliet, that got a lukewarm response at the box office.
His previous films My Friend Pinto (2011) and Ekk Deewana Tha (2012) have not exactly set the box office afire either. When contacted, producer Shailesh Singh denied the news. “It’s not true,” he replied via text message.
