Pink actor Vijay Varma joins Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink's baddie Vijay Varma is now all set to play a rapper in Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy. The Zoya Akhtar directorial is a story of four friends, who are local rappers in the midst of overcrowded and bustling Mumbai city. Vijay will be playing one of the rappers and will share screen space with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin.


Vijay will be seen playing Ranveer Singh's childhood buddy and while growing up together they ultimately end up becoming one of the best rappers in the city. Vijay took to Twitter and posted a selfie with Ranveer.


Speaking of bagging Gully Boy, Vijay said, "Working with Zoya Akhtar is like a dream come true. She is one of the finest directors we have in the country and I am eagerly looking forward to shooting this one. Also sharing screen space with the mighty Ranveer Singh is gonna be fun!"

Gully Boy went on floors in January 2018 and is expected to release by year-end.
