Noted Bollywood and television actor Narendra Jha, known for his memorable performances in Raees, Haider and many other films breathed his last at 55 after suffering a cardiac arrest

Narendra Jha, a versatile character actor passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday morning. He was 55. According to reports, it was the third heart attack Jha had over the years. Jha is known for his roles in Bollywood films like Haider, Mohenjo Daro, Raaes, Kaabil and others.
Born on September 2 in Bihar's Madhubani area, Jha was a noted Bollywood and television actor.

Saddened by his demise, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted, "It's really shocking to hear about the sad demise of our friend #NarendraJha who was a brillinat actor & a great human being. Will miss U. #RIP."
Jha's was notable for his recent performances as Dr Hilal Meer, Shahid Kapoor's father in the critically acclaimed Haider and Musa Bhai in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.
After obtaining a post graduation degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, Narendra Jha enrolled in a SRCC acting diploma course.
Jha whose acting career began in 1992 was intially a model, who then entered the TV industry, starring in over 20 television shows. After playing an important role in the 2002 film Funtoosh, Jha collaborated with filmmaker Shyam Benegal for the film Neta Ji Shubhash Chandra Bose in which he played Habibur Rahman.

He was later cast as Mohammed Ali Jinnah by Benegal in his next venture, a documentary series Samvidhaan. Narendra Jha is survived by his wife Pankaja Thakur.
