Composers Gourov Dasgupta and Roshin Balu have composed the track, Beparwah, in Tiger Shroff-starrer Munna Michael. The song was originally created for the actor's debut film, Heropanti (2014), but director Sabbir Khan, who is also helming Munna Michael, chose to use it later.
Given that Shroff pays tribute to Michael Jackson in the film, the duo researched the pop icon's music for this rendition.
Dasgupta tells mid-day, "MJ's songs, including Jam, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal and Black Or White, inspired this track. We wanted the song to have every quality of a commercial hit, but wished to retain MJ's feel."
Beparwah is a defining number of the film's climax, which made it a tougher one to create, says Balu. "We knew that multiple composers were involved in it, so, we had to give it our best. Tiger has an interesting dance sequence in the middle, which is where we could play with the music and take it a notch higher."
