Buzz is, Madhur wants his Fashion producers to take over the film

Percept Picture Company announced Madhur Bhandarkar's next after Fashion Jail. But the latest buzz around the project is that Madhur wants Fashion producers UTV to take over now.

Still languishing

An industry source says, "Jail was supposed to go on the floors right after Fashion.

The star cast was also in place and the film was officially launched in July at a big event, where they also unveiled the poster.

But almost six months after the release ofu00a0 Fashion (October 17) Jail has not taken off.

Director's call

According to a source, "The reason for the film's delay is Percept is facing a cash-crunch due to the recession." Madhur is known to make his film at a brisk pace but this time that's not been the case.

The film, which was meant to be a quickie, has not yet taken off. It is believed that Bhandarkar has approached UTV and has requested them to take over as producers."

Previously, Madhur has worked with PPC on Corporate and Traffic Signal. Madhur denies that the project is changing hands, "No.

I am making Jail with Percept we are going on the floors from the second week of March in Mumbai. I have a great working relationship with UTV and I am going to work with them in the near future but not for this movie."
