Mumbai: Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and actor-grandson Neil Nitin Mukesh on Wednesday paid tribute to the legendary singer Mukesh on his 92nd birth anniversary.

Neil, who shares his last name with the singer, said being born as his grandson is the "kindest gift" to him.

"Having his name and being born as his grandson was Gods Kindest gift to me. Remembering my Grandfather, Mukesh ji on his Birthday anniv today (sic)," wrote the "Johnny Gaddaar" star.
Mangeshkar, who collaborated with Mukesh many a times, wrote, "Namaskar. Today is the 92nd birth anniversary of famous singer Mukesh bhaiyya. I pay my ode to him." The singer also posted the link of a song, sung by both of them.
Mukesh Chand Mathur, better known as Mukesh, was popular as being the voice of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. He, Mohammad Rafi, Manna Dey and Kishore Kumar were the prominent male singers of the golden era of the Hindi cinema.
