Lamhaa, climax to be reshot and Dutt's not too happy about it

If reports coming from the cast and crew of Lamhaa are to be believed, all is not well between Sanjay Dutt and the film's director Rahul Dholakia.

Says a source close to the project, "Rahul has wasted so much of Sanjay Dutt's time and dates. The director was just not prepared enough. He would shoot for a few hours and then pack up because he didn't have any more scenes ready.

Apparently, Dholakia shot a mind boggling 1,53,000 ft of footage. And the film is yet to be completed. The final schedule with Bipasha Basu is on September 23. More alarming is the news that the climax needs to be re-shot.

Says a source, "The amount of raw stock that Dholakia used up for Lamhaa is enough to make around three full-length feature films. The film's budget has gone to Rs. 34 crore. And there are still no buyers. Producer Bunty Walia has already scheduled Lamhaa for a December 11 release."

Living and learning

Says Bunty, "It's true. I've locked in on December 11 for a release without selling the film. But I'm confident that distributors will come forward once they see the show reel. About the climax being re-shot I wouldn't like to say anything. I wouldn't like to blame anyone for the delay. But I'll say this. One lives and learns. I've to be very careful about my future projects."
