Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor, who was suffering from a prolonged illness, breathed his last on Monday at 5:20 pm at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital

Shashi Kapoor, 79, breathed his last at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday. The veteran actor has been ill for the longest time now and was admitted on Sunday afternoon to the hospital. The legendary actor known for his films like 'Jab Jab Phool Khile', 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' and many such super-hit films to his credit, started off in Bollywood as a child artist and did 19 films as a child artist. He made his debut as a lead actor in 'Dharmputra' in 1938 and went on to do more than around 116 films. The actor is survived by his three kids Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor.
