Juhi Chawla may be part of the upcoming Hollywood film, The Hundred-Foot Journey, but the actress has not really been talking about her role in the movie.

Now sources say that the reason behind this is that the actress’s role has been truncated to just one scene in the entire film. It turns out that those who saw the film recently were shocked to know that she makes only a brief appearance in the beginning of the film.

A source says, “There have been many reports about how Juhi bagged this film and that it will mark her grand Hollywood debut. But now it has emerged that Juhi just plays Om Puri’s wife and the hero’s mother in the film; she has no scenes in rest of the movie. So it is barely a debut for her and no wonder she is not going gaga over it or seen promoting it.”

It is being said that the actress had shot quite a few scenes for the film, but most were edited out. “Juhi’s character has a backstory, so she had shot for a few scenes. The makers had told her that they would narrate her story in flashback. However in the final edit, these scenes have not been included.”

On her part, Juhi was supposed to appear for media interactions for this film’s promotion, but they were apparently called off, as her role doesn’t merit such an involvement. Juhi was unavailable for comment.
