When he produced Tanu Weds Manu in 2011, Vinod Bachchan was already planning his future. According to the producer, only hard work can culminate into big results.

Unsurprisingly enough, after the success of Tanu Weds Manu, he went on to produce Zila Ghaziabad two years later. Not to sit still, he has presently produced timeless love story called Jigariyaa. Directed by Raj Purohit, it launches two debutants —Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia — in the leading roles. Vinod fully understands the importance of success in a cut-throat industry like Bollywood. However, his own struggles helped him build his outlook.

He neither likes losing nor looking back. After all, the filmmaker lost his parents at the age of seven. “It has been struggle to reach where I am today,” says the hands-on producer. He worked on 12 films as assistant director.

And needless to add, it was a frustrating phase. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, he could not breakthrough into direction but did understand the process and techniques of the film industry.

Keeping in mind the pros and cons, with an optimistic mind, he took the plunge into production. “Corporate world mein film banana aur release karna bahut mushkil hai. Lekin mai filme wohi banane ki koshish karta hoon jo dil ko chujaaye,” signs off Vinod.
