Abhishek Kapoor’s film, Fitoor, will now go on the floors in October. The filmmaker was supposed to start shooting for the film in August, but it turns out that he still has to do recces for the film. A source says, “Abhishek was supposed to start shooting with the secondary cast of the film in August but now he plans to start work only in October since he hasn’t done recces for the film yet. He is still busy with the film’s pre-production.”

The source adds that this delay won’t affect the film in a big way since the dates allotted by the main star cast — Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif — are from October onwards. “Aditya Roy Kapur is currently promoting his film, Daawat-E-Ishq, while Katrina Kaif is busy shooting for Bang Bang. So they are free to shoot only from October. In fact, Katrina is expected to join the unit in November, so this delay will not upset their schedules,” says the source.
For Rekha, who also stars in the film, this change shouldn’t be a problem either. Says a source, “Rekha has already allotted a few days in October and November to the film. This apart, she’s agreed to be part of a major schedule in March next year. As far as casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s workshop for the entire cast is concerned, it will take place only by September end.”
Fitoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel, Great Expectations. Rekha plays a grey character by the name of Begum and Katrina Kaif plays her niece in the film.
