Music maestro AR Rahman's Jammin, a collaborative platform that was created in a bid to promote young indie musicians in the country, will hold its first ever live concert in the city next month.

The three-month old platform, which is part of Rahman, Shekhar Kapur and Samir Bangera's digital channel, Qyuki, attempts to bridge the gap between independent and mainstream music, by pairing Bollywood music composers, including Salim-Sulaiman, Clinton Cerejo and Mithoon with YouTube sensations like Sanam, Shraddha Sharma and Jonita Gandhi.

Says Shraddha, "I had a great time collaborating with Mithoon sir. I look forward to performing Ab Alvida (the duo's track) live on stage." Salim adds, "We got the opportunity to collaborate with so many talented artistes. The concert will be a beautiful culmination of us coming together to celebrate the spirit of Jammin."

The platform, which has managed to expose fans of mainstream music to the talent pool that's creating waves on the video platform, has resulted in the creation of singles like Clinton and Sanam's Inquilab Mera Khwab, which crossed over a million views on YouTube within two days of its release.

The other singles that have resulted from this collaboration include Tu Hai (Salim-Sulaiman and Jonita Gandhi), Sanam Mere Sanam (Mithoon And Arjun Kanungo) and Mast Maula (Siddharth Slathia and Salim-Sulaiman).

Rumour mill is also abuzz with news that Rahman will join the artistes on stage for a special performance. This might be one of the rare occasions when the Oscar-winning musician will perform for his own venture.
