Girlie stuff

Most people have a doll or something religious hanging from the rear view mirror of their car. Kareena Kapoor's car wears a cute little style statement in the from of a pink-and-white cheerleader kind of outfit. So girlie. We like!

The Movies I Loved Growing Up

A Wednesday director Neeraj Pandey tells us about some of his fav films films that have stayed with him and have given him something to think about

Jewel Thief: Mainly because of its writing. The plot of the film had a brilliant screenplay and obviously amazing performances. Great songs... very well picturised. Ashok Kumar is simply amazing in the film. His performance in the movie is something of a highlight.

Judgment at Nuremburg: A family drama and probably one of the finest ensemble casts I have ever seen in any movie. The movie has brilliant performances and some very great writing. The film itself is very well directed. I believe it was a very difficult film to make. It is difficult given the nature of its story

The Right Stuff:u00a0 It is a Philip Kaufman movie and I am very big fan of his body of work. The Right Stuff is based on a Tom Wolfe (who has also helped with the screenplay of the film) book. Brilliant writing once again and amazingly well shot. This film is one of the best-shot films in my opinion and again put in that category u2014 very difficult to make.

Avanti! I am personally a huge fan of the writer I A L Diamond's fan. His screenplays are great material and Avanti! is a film I really like in the comedy genre.

Ravishing Ravs

Post motherhood, Raveena Tandon has gone back to being in ship-shape. The actress appears ultra glam in the latest issue of Hello! as she talks about her early days in B-Town, from being a star kid to a glam doll and a seasoned actress to a yummy mummy. Now she has no issues being seen with felt pen marks and food stain marks on her shirt signs of contented motherhood when she steps out of her house these days. About hubby Anil Thadani, she says, "When my friends see me with him, they say, "the best has happened to you!"

What's the point?

No one seems to have told Seema Khan that it is rude to point. Especially when you are not sure what your attention is being drawn to! maybe, next time, Sohail Khan's fashion designer wife will refrain from pointing fingers.

In the groove

Dipannita Sharma is back after a hiatus. The model-actress had disappeared after her marriage and was only seen in Fear Factor. A source reveals, "She has completed an exclusive shoot for an international magazine, she is also currently the international face for a watch brand. After her marriage, people have been wondering if she has become a house wife, but that's not the case. She will be seen again in films and is in the process of finalising two films."

Dress circle

Someone should've told Arshad Warsi that he was attending Amrita Arora's sangeet and not a judo contest. This black silky creation is best left to the senseis.

Cooling Off: Spotted Irrfan Khan over the weekend at a short film festival organised by the Film and Television Institute of India at Fame Big, Andheri. The actor looked at ease in a stubble, shades and crushed denims. Guess after all that running around in suits for an Oscar-winning flick, it's okay to let go and just chill, kyun?

RAZA'S BOLLYWOOD

Q Why do other heroines think of Kareena Kapoor as the most secure person in showbiz?

Au00a0 Because she is in 'Saif' hands.
