Climax, finally!

After our report of Delhi-6 having two separate endings, ('The end for AB Jr'; HiTLIST, February 17), director Rakeysh Mehra'su00a0 has decided to go with the happy ending. A source reveals, "Rakeysh has decided to go with the happy ending as the Indian audience would approve of it." Here's hoping they agree.

Dark shades

Divya Dutta plays Jalebi, an untouchable garbage picker in Delhi-6 and director Rakeysh wanted her to look four shades darker than she is, to suit the character. Not just that, she also has several traditional tattooes on her body. This wasn't easy; as the make-up took four hours to put on all over the body. An hour per shade; now that's a fair deal!

Yeh dosti...

We hear that Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor are friends and that she has recommended his name to dad Anil Kapoor for his next home production. The Dev D actor was also her khaas dost at the New York premiere held last Saturday. However, there is nothing more to this platonic dosti. A source close to the actress says, "Sonam didn't recommend Abhay. In fact, nobody has been finalised," Abhay's friend adds, "Both might have met socially but they are not close friends."u00a0 Chalo, maan lete hain.

Birthday gift

Music composer Monty Sharma has gifted Saawariya singer Parthiv Gohil (who rendered the track Yun Shabnami) the first song of his album on his birthday! What better gift for the singer, whose album Kahe Kya Dhadkane, releases in June! Parthiv, who is actress-model Manasi Parekh's hubby, also scored the bandish in the title track of Devdas. The Monty-Parthiv musical bonding continues.
