She makes sure that her hair is protected from the chemicals of colours and harsh water by applying coconut based hair oil before she’s off to play Holi.

The 'Om Shanti Om' actress also said that she prefers a tied hairstyle like a side braid when for the day and use only organic colours as they are environment friendly and do not damage hair or skin.

Nargis Fakhri, who considers ''Rang Barse'' as the Holi anthem, said that she first celebrated holi just 2 years ago and wishes to celebrate it again this year.

“What I love about the festival is that it’s the one festival that isn’t about appearances, you don''t have to dress up or look pretty. It''s about getting messy, and having a good time with your friends,” she added.

She also admitted to the ritual of oiling her hair with coconut oil as it provides the necessary nourishment and protects her hair from all the harmful synthetic chemicals from the colors.

Anushka Sharma, the 24-year-old leggy lass, who will be spending this holi with her family and friends as she has a day off from work, admitted that she and her brother used to plan holi pranks two days in advance.

Sharma, who without fail massages her hair with coconut based hair oil and puts it in a side braid, said that her all time favorite songs for the day are ‘Rang barse bheege chunarwali’ and ‘Holike din dil mil jatehai’ as these songs suits the theme and mood of the festival very well.
