How Saviojon brought Goa to Delhi

Goa, with its unending shore and unhurried pace makes Saviojon's definition of "happy", complete. His laidback outlook translates on to the design table, gifting his wearer escapism from impossible figure hugging silhouettes.

The shy guy from Goa who celebrated his birthday on the day of the show, seems to know what some women want from clothes getting around in them, doing everyday work to impressing at work.

Continuously deconstructing, Saviojon has never been a conformist. His folksy take on fashion snatched the intrinsically-Indian patiala out of its conventional mode to create contemporary urban-styled shirt dresses, and evening wear options.

He continued his pursuit with fishermen trousers, and even bought Cowdi jewellery from a bunch of Lambadi women (a nomadic Hindu sect) to accessorise the line he showcased.

Washing every shell with a sanitiser, he strung them all together in bright strips of fabric to create stunning neck pieces, throwing in a few safety pins, keys and coins. In fact, one of the dresses he showcased, was held together by au00a0 row of shiny steel nappy pins.

Goa's fishing nets were dragged on ramp, with Savio using net over stringy jersey jackets, and plastering swatches of red zippers on shoulders.
